Brisbane’s French Film Festival started on the 14th March 2013. This year’s festival is bigger than ever and features some great options. My picks for the festival include:
- Happiness Never Comes Alone
- Pauline Detective
- Farewell my Queen
- The Dandelions
- Renoir
- Another Woman’s Life
- The Cherry on the Cake
- The Man Who Laughs
- Therese Desqueyroux
Special sessions are running, including themed wine and cuisine for both Feu by Christian Louboutin and Haute Cuisine screenings. The festival also features A Woman in Paris – a fabulous look at the relationship between an aged grand dame and her inhouse carer. I was fortunate enough to see this as part of the Brisbane International Film Festival (BIFF2012) and thoroughly enjoyed myself.
If you haven’t already booked tickets – you can still buy tickets Palace Cinema’s (but don’t leave it too long) or the friendly-folk of Map Magazine/Weekend Edition are offering the chance to win you choice of tickets.
