For the second time in 2 years the city braced for a flooding… 2011 Floods were devastating enough, you can read about my personal experiences in the post Apres le Deluge, I am extremely grateful this time everything was different. But this time northern Queensland is enduring the worst of the weather. My heart goes out to those who are being effected, it’s hard to believe one single storm, ex-Cyclone Oswald I’m looking at you, can cause such havoc.
The following footage of the Brisbane River shows it encroaching on the inner city.

But that’s nothing compared to the footage below which shows what my northern neighbours have had to endure.
Flooding is even visible from space with images circulating the web from Chris Hadfield.
